I have found that life often throws us curveballs that we just don't see coming.  Over the years my life has taken many turns, some good some not so good, but they all got me to this point in life.

I had a really busy day yesterday. I got up way too early, around 2:30am couldn't sleep, ended up reading then getting some paper work done. Fun times. It was also my youngest girls birthday, so I had to clean the house to prepare for her party. I am going to say that it should not have taken me all day but it did. Lots of extra things to do. We ended up having a great time.
Thankfully today is back to normal. Whatever that means.  This week is going to be a busy one for me.  I have way too much work to do and a short overnight trip to Jasper for work.

This morning I am thankful for

  1. The cooler temperatures at night, it is making sleep so much nicer
  2. That I got to sleep in, thank you hun for getting up to feed the cats
  3. Good friends, it was so nice to be chatting with friends and seeing people again

5% Challenge Update

The challenge ended yesterday.  I came in 0.5 over my final goal, my starting weight was 191.9 and I ended with a weigh in of 182.8 my goal was 182.3.   I am more then happy with it.  I am doing the 3 week in between challenge and want to see my weight below 180, I want to be in the 170s again.

NO BS Goal Weight Journal

This no diet and lifestyle is working for me.  I am going to spend this month working on the basics.  I have got planning my days done.  I have always been a planner so that part is easy.  Now I need to work on 2 things this month.  I need to work on following my plan, which in some cases means that I need to plan better.  I also need to work on getting my water intake higher.  I am going to aim for 64oz by the end of this month. I know that by the calculators for how much water I need to be drinking that I need more then this but I want to make it a small doable goal for myself right now.  I need a win and in truth going from only drinking water some days to getting 64OZ every day will be a huge.

24 Hour Plan and Assessment of Yesterday

My weightloss goal for this week is 1.5lbs.  This important to me because I want to be able to wear my rings again.

Yesterday I did not make a plan.  I decided to wing it.  I told myself this was okay because I was preparing for my daughter's party and would probably not follow it once everyone came over.  Not the greatest idea that I have had.  I am going to work on a party day protocol for myself, just for these days when we are going to be entertaining in our home.  So that in the future i can just rely on it and not try and plan.

Today's Plan

Breakfast - coffee, creamer, collagen

Lunch - banana, sausage, cheese and crackers

Dinner - hamburger or hotdog, veggies

Snack - veggies and dip, cheese pleasers or chips, leftover birthday cake

Other - tea, extra coffee, milk

I believe that this food plan is doable today.  I know that i may not eat everything on this plan but I promise myself that I won't eat anything that is not on the plan.  Today I will tell myself all day that I can do this.  I am in control of what goes into my mouth. 

My goals

  1. To be at 173lbs by September 30, 2022, this is important to me because I want to be able to wear my rings again.  I hate not wearing my wedding band and the family ring from my MIL 
  2. To increase my step count to 10,000 steps daily by September 30, 2022 - I want to be able to really enjoy my trip to Mexico in January and don't want to not be able to see things because I physically can't walk. 
  3. To follow my doable plan for 30 days

Standard Time Challenge Day 7

 Time: 6:45AM Weather: -6C Sunrise @ 7:55AM Sunset @ 4:43PM Today is going to be a get it done kind of day.  Had a relaxing day yesterday.  Too much sitting on my butt and not enough get up and go.  I've got work stuff to get done and lots of housework to do.  Hubby works in store today so I want to get some things done while he is away.  Tonight is a hockey game so we will have snacks and finger foods for dinner. Conquor Yourself

 Time: 6:43AM Weather: -9C Sunrise @ 8:49AM Sunset @ 4:31PM  This is so true.  If I could learn to conquer my own fears and thoughts I could do anything.  My brain tells me all the time that I can't do something or that I will never be able to get it.  All this negative self-talk is so bad.  I have been working on talking better to myself.  Until the last little while I didn't even realize how often I am a downer on myself instead of a cheerleader.  I have discovered that i need to start treating myself like I treat my kids and friends.  I must learn to be kind to myself.
